A team of 28 students and supporters are currently in Paris for the annual MBA Tournament – otherwise known as the MBA Olympics.

The MBA Tournament (or MBAT) is a sporting event bringing together top-ranked MBA students from around the world to enjoy three days of sporting competitions, festivities and cultural exchange. All this takes place on the beautiful HEC Paris campus and select venues in the surrounding vicinity of Jouy-en-Josas.

The competition, now in its 26th annual edition, will see MBA students from 17 schools compete over three days across 23 sports featuring 350 teams.

Organised by HEC Paris MBA students, the tournament is the largest annual gathering of MBA students in Europe. Over 1500 international future business leaders take part in MBAT every May, coming together for heated competition, friendly rivalries, and passionate celebrations.

The Lancaster MBA contingent will be participating in sports including basketball, football, badminton and tennis.

Commenting ahead of the MBAT tournament, Lancaster MBA and Student Sports Representative, Aditya Shah said: “After all our hard work to date, the cohort is really looking forward to travelling to HEC Paris to compete against the other top global MBAs and to enjoy the networking and socialising opportunities as well as the sport. It will also be a welcome break from our studies so we can return to Lancaster refreshed and ready for the final push to the finish line and graduation.”
